2. Brussels Airport (Belgium)

Brussels Airport is actively reshaping its transport ecosystem as part of its initiatives under the EU-backed STARGATE project. The project promotes sustainability and smart mobility practices across European airports, specifically through integrating intermodal transport hubs into airport design.

In line with this vision, Brussels Airport is steadily evolving into a high-performing intermodal hub, offering integrated access via train, bus, tram, tram bus, and cycling routes. The introduction of the Ringtrambus in 2020 has enhanced regional connectivity by providing a reliable alternative to car travel, bypassing congestion and complementing existing public transport services.

Looking ahead, Hub 3.0 (scheduled for completion in 2037) will further advance the airport's intermodal infrastructure. This future-focused initiative will deliver a redesigned central bus station, a new tram stop by 2030, and improved train station access, alongside a green boulevard with cycle paths. 

3. London Heathrow Airport (UK)

Strategically located between Warsaw and Łódź, this mega-hub will integrate air, high-speed rail, and road transport in a single location, offering unparalleled connectivity across Poland and beyond.

Ultimately, CPK’s design prioritises the following:

Once operational, the hub is expected to redefine regional travel, making long-distance journeys faster, more efficient, and environmentally responsible.
