Reed Exhibitions has worked tirelessly with our industry peers to create a safe working standard called “Events in the New Normal” for holding events in a COVID-impacted world. 

We understand how vital inter airport Europe is to the lives and businesses in the  industry we serve. We will continue to go above and beyond to ensure we deliver an event that is both safe but also hugely valuable and energising for our participants. Events in the New Normal

We want you to be safe at inter airport Europe 2021!

Learn more about our framework to establish a robust programme of measures to support the health and safety of all our attendees.

Stay Safe Guidelines

Information for anyone who will be present at the event. Learn about our increased hygiene measures, social distancing management and medical safeguarding.

COVID Status

All attendees will need to demonstrate proof of COVID-19 status for entry to the event. This will need to be one of the following:

  • Digital proof of completion of a full course of vaccination two weeks prior to arrival
  • Digital proof of a negative lateral Flow Test (within 24 hours) or PCR result taken within 48hrs of arrival
  • Digital proof of natural immunity shown by a positive PCR test result for COVID-19, lasting for 180 days from the date of the positive test and following completion of the self-isolation period

You will need to demonstrate your COVID-19 status whilst purchasing your ticket online. Alternatively, your COVID-19 status can be demonstrated upon arrival on-site, however, long queues and waiting times are to be expected.

Please get tested before you come if you do not have a full vaccination protection yet!

You can take a test at one of the many centers near your hotel, upon arrival at Munich Airport, or at one of the test centers in downtown Munich: all sites and information.

If you have booked a hotel in Munich, you can also ask your hotel for details of the nearest test center.

Inbound Travel Advice

Trade fair participants may enter Germany subject to defined entry requirements. You can check these any time on the website of the Robert Koch Institute whether your departure area is currently classified as a risk area. Current information on entry requirements, visa or the digital registration for entry can be found at

Plan ahead

Plan your visit before you arrive at the venue. Knowing what you are going to do and where to go will contribute to your safe and productive attendance. Also plan how to get to and from the venue by checking any relevant travel advice or restrictions.

Be Kind

Please be mindful of individuals personal space, everyone will have their own unique levels of comfort as we return to events. Please give people space when you are walking past them and check before initiating personal contact (consider elbow bumps rather than handshakes or hugs).

Stay home if you are unwell

All guests are encouraged to check you are feeling well before attending our event. Please ensure that you are in good health, with no fever or other symptoms related to COVID-19, before travelling to the venue.

Face Coverings - Indoors

At present, a mouth and nose cover must be worn permanently throughout the exhibition center – even at the stand area. According to official guidelines, this currently refers to medical masks.

Face Coverings - Outdoors

If the minimum distance of 1.5 meters cannot be maintained, a mask must be worn in outdoor areas on the exhibition grounds, e.g. the atrium. According to official guidelines, this currently refers to medical masks.


Ventilation will be increased, improving fresh air circulation in line with the latest guidance.


We will maintain the highest standards of cleaning before, during and after the event, including frequent cleaning of all regularly touched surfaces.


Hand sanitiser will be readily available throughout the venue. Please continue to follow guidance and wash your hands frequently.

When meeting

Please refrain from shaking hands!

Physical distancing

Social distancing of 1.50m must be observed.

Food and beverage

Catering facilities will be open but in line with the latest government guidance.

Exhibitor stands

Exhibitors are reviewing stand designs to avoid enclosed meeting areas and create more open, ventilated space.


Please make sure you register online before attending and bring your QR code with you to obtain your badge at the automated turnstiles on site.

Exhibit safe
